Born in Plainfield Illinois, Matthew was originally introduced to film by running several popular YouTube channels in middle and high school. At the age of 18, he went to DePaul University’s School of Cinematic Arts. In his time at DePaul Matthew helped in the creation of over 25 narrative, documentary, and experimental films. 

Matthew preformed multiple roles while working at several production companies including Fig Media, JJack Productions, and The Hootenanny Commercial Post Production House, before switching to independent work through his company BRDLIK LLC.

In 2019 he was hired by Shed Films to direct and and produce the Wild Gamble documentary series, which has hopes for distribution on Netflix. Following his departure from the documentary series in August of 2022, Matthew is currently working on several independent productions.
